ABOUT THE FILM:
Released in 2001, Iris is a biographical film based on John Bayley's (Murdoch's husband) memoir Elegy for Iris (1999), in which he remembers Iris as a young and unconventional philosopher and novelist in Oxford, and later living with her through the years when she was suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
